Beers, burgers and 80s headbangers. Cartagena’s unique Anglo-inspired watering hole, The Clock Pub, has got its priorities sorted.

Never underestimate the power of an ice cold beer. This place clocks up a beer inventory that could rival the biggest Belgium boozer.
With over 80 international beers to choose from, it’s practically impossible to just 'go for one drink' when you settle down into the leathery seated comfort of this hearty, 'they-don't-do-them-like-this-anymore' pub.
The food menu could fuel a Harley Davidson for a day. Mammoth-sized burgers, made with 250 grams of ground beef, chunky potato wedges, buffalo wings, towering nachos, and fried stuff with cheese make for great crowd pleasers.
Don’t ask about calories (a real rock star wouldn't) and simply enjoy the guilty-pleasures of naughty food tasting really good in that gluttonous greedy way. The pub also offers one of the best lunch deals in town, with a two-course 'business lunch' (served between 12.00-15:00) for only USD$7.
Live music is a big draw. You could spend every night of the week here and never really get bored.
On Thursdays, it’s karaoke night, and guests get to live out their rock star dreams crooning out classics with a live band. Stick around until the end as prizes for best—and worst—performer is dished out.
Make sure you take advantage of their 'Black Thursday' offer which gives you 60% off the entire drinks or food order.
On Fridays there is a live jukebox evening, where revellers can control the live bands playlist and request songs throughout the night. On Saturdays, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be another great live band too.
The space too is nicely decked out. As one of only two 18th century French designed properties in the historic centre, there is a darker and moodier edge to the interiors in contrast to the colourful masses around the clock tower.
If you don’t feel like sitting inside, there is a lovely terrace to enjoy Cartagena's blistering sun with an icy beer antidote.
Good food, beer and vibes never go out of fashion.
Cartagena's nerve centre serves up breathtaking colonial architecture, the city's top attractions, finest hotels, eateries and drinking dens as well as being the administrative and cultural heart of the city.
Centro has lost none of its importance thanks to the universal lure of its colonial pomp and the concentration of government buildings, hotels, tourist attractions, bars and restaurants in the area.
Cartagena's finest hotels and restaurants have taken over the uber-casas built by slave traders and Spanish plunderers in the 17th century.
The richest residents knocked up stunning two and three-storey mansions by the westernmost tip of the walled city, where they bagged the sea breeze and first whiff of pirates. Today only those at the very top of Colombia's rich list can afford to maintain these opulent houses in their original residential state.
